At Absolute Pilates, the health and safety of our members and team is our top priority. We continue to offer a robust schedule of virtual classes, outdoor classes and events for your fitness and wellness during these ever changing circumstances. We are following all state and local directives regarding reopening. As studios open, extensive health and safety measures are being taken with new studio guidelines to provide all of our members with a safe class experience.

As this is an evolving situation, we continue to monitor this situation in real-time to ensure the proper precautions are being taken so everyone feels safe coming to class; we’re strictly following the CDC’s recommendations and adjusting operations to keep you and our team members safe and healthy.

While things will look and feel different in our studio, and our world for months to come, we can still create an in-person, safe community of energy, positivity and joy in our classes. The Absolute Pilates Family has weathered many storms together and we appreciate your support and commitment. We hope that reforming together again safely will be a much-needed dose of joy and positivity during this uncertain time.

The Absolute Pilates team has always prided itself on keeping our studios clean and safe. We will now double-down on our efforts to make sure we provide the safest environment possible for our customers and staff.  This is an evolving process and we will continue to update our procedures as more information becomes available.

Here is what we’re doing:

We will be using hospital-grade, CDC and OSHA-approved disinfectant to clean ALL surfaces after every class. This includes: Every reformer/tower in the studio, all door handles, bathroom surfaces, and light switches. Any surface that is exposed to customers or staff will be disinfected multiple times daily. Note: We will have a minimum of 15 minutes between each class to allow for sanitization prior to the next group of clients entering the studio. As often as possible machines will rest and disinfect for over an hour between clients.

All team members and clients are asked to take your temperature at home on a day you are coming to the studio. Additionally, everyone will be required to thoroughly wash their hands according to CDC guidelines immediately upon entering.

If required by law, we are prepared to check the temperature we just feel like this is not a good use of in-studio time.

All Absolute Pilates staff will be wearing face-masks as needed. In addition, customers will be asked to wear masks to enter and exit the studio. Masks may be removed when exercising as long as we have more than social distance.  We are requiring socks for all classes in all locations. We will update this policy as we learn more from the PA DOH.

All class bookings must be made at least 60 minutes before the class start time via our website or the Absolute Pilates App. We will not be allowing walk-ins. We ask that class customers arrive 10 minutes before class to form a socially-distanced line outside the studio. You will be invited into the lobby one-by-one and asked to go wash your hands and then go directly to your reformer. Please bring a limited amount of items into the studios.
If you have an mobile phone, please download the Absolute Pilates App

We will have sanitizing stations in each studio.

We will have one restroom open for necessary use. Please try to minimize the use.

Our reformer/tower will be socially distanced (more than 6 feet apart). For the safety of all, please take your assigned reformer. There will be NO late entries to the studio.

Reduced Studio Class Size to guarantee the 6 feet of social distance.  Your instructor will teach the class from a distance.

Hands Off Corrections for your safety, our instructors will teach using verbal cues only and will continue to provide modifications, progressions, adjustments, and corrections verbally during class as always.

Initially, we will not be using props in class and the fans will NOT be in use during classes. We will be opening the studio up and airing them out as much as possible between classes.

The studio will be sanitized with hospital grade sanitizer between classes.  The staff will be disinfecting surfaces between classes.

Although it’s tempting, please do not stop to talk to your instructor or congregate in the lobby. We all want to see you and hug you too, but we ask that you exit the building promptly for the safety of your fellow clients and the Absolute Pilates team.

To allow as many clients as possible to get to Apparatus classes, we’ll be strictly enforcing our cancellation policy—please remember to cancel 6 hours before class.

The Absolute Pilates Community Code of Conduct

The Absolute Pilates Community Code of Conduct

When you book a class you are attesting to the following:

  • If you’re sick, STAY HOME. If you are experiencing or have experienced any of the following symptoms in the last 14 days, we ask that you do not come to the studio:

    o    Fever

    o    Shortness of breath

    o    Coughing

    o    Sneezing

    o    Loss of Smell/Taste

    o    Nausea

    o    Vomiting

    o    Diarrhea

  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19, are awaiting test results, or have been knowingly exposed / come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not come to the studio for 14 days or until you have tested negative for COVID-19.

  • Maintain Social Distance / Minimize Contact. We’re all excited to see one another and it seems unnatural not to hug or greet your fellow members and instructors. Until the social distance requirements are lifted, we ask that you respect one another, maintain 6 feet of distance between one another and refrain from person-to-person contact.

  • The CDC advises that anyone over the age of 65, or with pre-existing conditions, should minimize social contact. If you fall into this category, and are still concerned about being in the studio, we will continue our virtual offerings via Zoom, and vimeo. We encourage you to stay involved and fit so you’re ready to rejoin us when the time is right.

  • If there is a case of COVID-19 reported in your studio we will notify you immediately.

Rest assured that the quality of the Absolute Pilates classes, the motivation and inspiration, and the deep connection of the Absolute Pilates community will remain unchanged. Staying connected virtually has carried us through this challenging time, but the true joy of the Absolute Pilates experience is reforming through the challenges together. We can’t wait to be reunited.

Team Absolute Pilates is always here for you, and happy to discuss any questions or concerns. Please contact us at info@absolutepilates.com.

Moving forward, we’re continuing to monitor the situation.

While we’re taking every precaution to keep our community safe (and encourage you to do the same), we’re acutely aware of and highly prepared for the possibility of a second wave.

In the event that there is a reported case of COVID-19 in one of our studios and you were potentially in contact with the individual, you’ll be notified immediately. From there, we’ll take the proper safety precautions to disinfect the studio from top to bottom.

With no way to predict what will happen, the best way we can prepare is to respond and evolve as the situation develops—with nothing but your safety in mind.

Whether you plan to join us in the studio, or feel more comfortable staying home, we’re here for you. If you have questions or concerns, let’s talk it out at info@absolutepilates.com

Thanks

Allison, Donna and Lauren
