Classes at ABSolute Pilates

Enhance your core strength to increase flexibility, coordination and spatial awareness with the large variety of pilates classes offered by Absolute Pilates. With two studios based in Pennsylvania – Mechanicsburg and Lemoyne – we are a classic pilates studio offering one-on-one private sessions, duets, trios, group equipment, mat and barre classes.

Founded in 2009, we pride ourselves with over 5 years of experience in the business. As the area’s only classical pilates studio with a comprehensively trained and highly knowledgeable staff, our professionals offer a schedule of pilates classes geared towards all skill levels, from beginner to advanced and including silver classes.

Get in shape with our beginner, intermediate and advanced group equipment and reformer classes. Come to yogalates for a spin on the two classics. Try out our barre and mat training classes, or experience a chair pilates class. Complete a great cardio workout with our pilates jump board class. We also offer prenatal pilates to prepare women’s bodies for a successful birthing experience and a mommy and me class for those wishing to include their children in on the experience.

Pilates Equipment Class

Beginner/Intermediate Group Pilates Equipment Class

Group Equipment Classes. Learn the principles of pilates precision, control, centering, balance, breath, flow, and concentration. Each class will cover the reformer, chair, tower, mat, & small equipment. Must get permission to join class from your instructor.

Intermediate/Advanced Group Pilates Equipment Class

Group Equipment Classes. Learn the principles of pilates precision, control, centering, balance, breath, flow, and concentration. Each class will cover the reformer, chair, tower, mat, & small equipment. Must get permission to join class from your instructor.

Equipment Power Hour

Take you favorite pilates class and kick it up a notch!

Pilates Circuit

This class is team taught. There will be between two and four rotations during class. Group Equipment Classes. For those that have been completed the Intro Package and are looking to advance in a group setting.

Tower Pilates

Springs! Take your favorite Pilates Mat class and add spring resistance to it and you have yourself one muscle defining Tower class.
Weight Loss Using the weight resistance of the various parts of the Tower apparatus increases metabolism and muscle definition.Tower Power Legs, Arms…and everything in between (aka Core!) By using the Leg Springs, or the Push Through Bar of the Tower apparatus, you get targeted burn out for the upper and lower body while keeping the Core engaged and stronger.

As we mature we can benefit from healthy movement, we can use a reminders of good posture and proper alignment. Good posture and proper align should just be part of our routine like brushing your teeth. Pilates is a low-impact, safe form of strength training. Pilates has also been known to cleanse your vital organs and lubricate your joints making you feel years younger in a session. In class we will work to strengthen and stretch for a strong, pain free, and limber body. Pilates is often recommended by Physicians and Physical Therapists because of it benefits.

The benefits of Pilates for more mature people include: improved posture, stamina and strength, along with improving balance and reducing your risk of falls. Whatever your size, strength or endurance, Pilates is beneficial for anyone. If you are suffering from arthritis, postural difficulties or bone density problems, Pilates might also help you.

Mommy and Me

Mom’s all over the area are anxious to get back to a comfortable pre-baby weight. They just do not have the time or the energy to make it happen. Here is your chance to relax with your baby and get some exercise all at the same time.The “Mommy and Me Pilates” class is designed for mothers and their babies ages two to nine months old.
Pilates, may seem like the latest fad, but the unique combination of stretches, flow of movements and relaxation techniques get right to the core of strengthening abdominal muscles and key into the pelvic floor muscles of a new mom’s. These are the fundamentals of pilates. In each class we work on building core support, building that core strength and back strength. While using the work out to encourage quality time with your baby.

Plus, as an added bonus moms and babies embracing Pilates together t it can introduce baby movements that stimulate learning new motor skills.

The gentle movements Mom’s do can benefit babies as they take on learning new motor skills, like when a baby begins to coordinate different parts of the body. Also, the breathing rhythms in Pilates are very natural and can calm babies too!

Barre Class

The latest in sculpting and toning at the Ballet Barre. These routines have been fine tuned to deliver the best results based on the best the Barre has to offer without the knee or low back issues. We use light weights to sculpt the arms, tough ab and glute work on the floor, and of course, Barre work with variations you have never seen or felt. Join us and change up your routine to keep your body changing in the right direction.

JumpBoard Classes

JUMP BOARD CLASS

Innovative full body reformer workout which consists of a continuous flow of Pilates exercises with jumpboard attachment that adds an exciting cardiovascular component to a tough workout. Fluid transitions, coupled with interval jumping, results in an increased heart rate that is optimal for burning calories and building lean muscle.
This creatively choreographed workout is easy, fun and effective—plus, the impact on your knees and hip joints is minimal due to the spring resistance used with reformer and the principles of Pilates. It’s an ideal way to tone your core while burning fat and developing endurance with reduced impact to your joints. This workout is tough but fun, so if you have experience on the reformer come and join us!!

HIIT ~ Jumpboard Pilates Reformer

HIIT – High Intensity Interval Training 50 minutes of the hottest way to burn calories ~ Using alternating intervals of maximum effort using Tabata cardio segments and then rest, (if you call pilates jump board rest)! It will rev up your metabolic system and build strength while keeping your pilates principals at the forefront – Intermediate/Advanced Clients (check with your instructor)!
